STEP 4

PLUMBING

“Excitement Sets In” – Overview: It’s finally happening! You’ve watched as the excavation process began and now you’re left with a huge hole in your yard. While the excavation process may have been messy, it’s a sign that you’re on the road to having a brand new Oklahoma City swimming pool. The next step, plumbing, is a thrilling one for general manager Charles who enjoys incorporating pipes, water features, and custom in-floor cleaning systems into his designs. If you haven’t yet included an in-floor cleaning system, this is your last chance to make that change. Our experienced plumbing crew will handle the installation of the unique plumbing with care. All our projects are pre-planned with a hydraulic design tailored to your specific pool, contract, and design. To ensure safety and accommodate future enhancements, we choose to oversize pipes.

“Plumbing” – Overview: With excavation complete, we’ll move on to plumbing and equipment setup. This involves laying hundreds of feet of PVC pipes, all of which are Schedule 40 white PVC, a standard in the pool industry. You’ll see pipes going to the floor of the pool for the in-floor cleaning system, as well as pipes running back to the pool equipment. The pool equipment, including pumps, heaters, filters, and electrical systems, should have already been delivered or are on the way. Keep the equipment outside for our crew, but if it’s left in an unsecured area, please let us know so we can arrange for it to be secured. The plumbing process can take anywhere from 1 to 2 days and will typically involve 2 to 3 workers. You may also see the steel workers arrive during the plumbing phase as we keep a close eye on the progress of your project.
