GUNITE

“GUNITE” – BRIEF OVERVIEW: The inspection has been completed, and this phase of the project is ready to commence. The Gunite process takes only one day, typically starting around 7 AM with a few trucks and crews, followed by the arrival of the concrete trucks. There is a large rig outside your property that pumps the concrete through a hose into your pool. The “nozzleman” handles the end of the hose and sprays a mixture of concrete and high-pressure air onto the sides and floor of your new pool. This application technique of “spraying” the concrete into the pool gives the process its name, “GUNITE.” Watching the crew shape and form the walls and edges of your new pool is a fascinating experience. The process concludes by the end of the day, and the crew does a quick cleanup of the site before leaving.
